Huia Helicopter Ride

On Sunday, we spent a sunny afternoon up at Kapiti Aero Club, with Eboni, Bryony and Te Kani from Huia Publishers.
Huia have been a customer of McDonalds IT for over 7 years, and so we invited them up there to go on a helicopter trip. They went on individual 20 minute trips and were given the choice of scenic or adventurous.
Bryony opted for scenic. She flew over the Te Araroa walkway in Paekakariki and then through to Transmission Gulley, which is apparently huge!
Eboni and TK both opted for the more adventurous trip which took them over the hills behind Paraparaumu. There were lots of ohhs and ahhs and wows when they came back, and Eboni concluded that it might have been a good idea to tell the pilot she got motion sickness BEFORE she had taken off rather than after they landed!
Their pilot Greg was very informative, explaining every last detail of how things worked, and spent far longer with them than any of us expected. Thanks Greg, you made the afternoon amazing.
All in all it was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon, both from the ground and up in the air.
