UPDATE: Wifi security flaw "KRACK ATTACK"

Following on from our Security Advisory on the afternoon of 2017-10-16 (available here )
We've had further information regarding the Wifi CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures)
We have prepared a quick FAQ below:

Q: Who is affected?
A: Every device that has WiFi.

However the patches for fixing this are being rolled out around the world, please ensure that you keep your devices up to date.
  • Apple have stated that iOS, MacOSX, WatchOS and TvOS are all patched.
  • Android manufacturers have started to rollout patches to fix the vulnerability, this is dependant on your manufacturer and / or carrier.
  • Microsoft and Intel are releasing urgent patches 
Q: Should I change my Wifi Password?
A: no, changing the password on your wifi will not prevent or mitigate this attack, however, if you haven’t changed it in a long time, no is a good a time as any.

Q:What are the most important things to have patched?
A: The priority is to have your client devices patched, this includes:
  • Smartphones
  • Laptops
  • Tablets / iPads
  • Smart watches
  • TV’s 
  • anything else that runs WiFi
In addition to patching your Wireless AP.
